LUKE 4:15-22

ISAIAH 61:1-11

THE ANOINTED ONE

LUKE 4:15-22

15 He was teaching in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,

    because he has anointed me

    to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners

and recovery of sight for the blind,

to set the oppressed free,

19     to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”[a]

20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 He began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.

Hi, Dear precious child of The Mighty God. Welcome once again to The Stable Sanctuary; a site that Highly values and esteems you. For sure, we know very well that you are God’s most valuable creation in this world. For you to access this site is not by accident or by mistake. It is by Divine guidance through The Holy Spirit of the Living God. Henceforth, be blessed; now and for always. It is our high desire that the will of God shall be made clear to you so as to enable you to walk in ways that pleases Him that knew your life before the foundation of the world was created. God Almighty knew you, your name, before He created anything in this world. You are therefore alive and well because of His pre-determined plan for your life.

Today, we want to make a journey entitled THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST. Kindly follow us : The illustration from The Holy Bible, Luke 4:15-22 is a clear and vivid fact that Jesus Christ was very man even as He was very God. In our native language, we may say that He was very faithful to the faithful to His calling ; which is His testimony as we find it in Psalms 40:6-8; where it is written:” Sacrifice and offering You did not desire; My ears have You opened: Burnt offerings and Sin offering have you not required. The said I, Lo, I come: In the volume of the Book it is written of Me I delight to do Your will, Oh My God: yes, Your law is within my  heart.” Here, we find that Jesus Christ was faithful to deliver the entire word of God to the Human race. The truth of The Word of God enabled Jesus Christ to carry out His mission successfully. Hence He is the ultimate Anointed One. His anointing was by The Holy Spirit of The Living God. For you, this is the acceptable year of the Lord ; to transform you completely for the better.

A TIME OF GLADNESS

ISAIAH 61:1-11

61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.

7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

8 For I the Lord love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the Lord hath blessed.

10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

11 For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Here is another episode; an entire chapter of Isaiah 61. In this Holy scripture text, we find that A TIME OF GLADNESS is now with us. This is because Jesus Christ our saviour is expounding upon His Testimony the very good things that He shall do for the Human race; all over the world. Him being the Saviour, He has the Light and the Power to change all aspects of human life for the better. This includes; social, political, economic, cultural, psychological transformation just to name but the least.

Infact through Jesus Christ, this world is going to experience great tremendous changes as is evidenced in verse four above. The words “build,”raise,” and “repair” are hereby used to signify material resurgence and more so the spiritual renewal in the lives of many believers around the globe. Expect a great global transformation. The future is bright only if one is in Christ Jesus.

Hey, Jesus Christ has paid double for our sins and trespasses. This is shown in the seventh verse. You and I have absolute freedom. Now we have double blessings awaiting us . Everywhere. We have everlasting joy at our disposal. Ours for the taking and possession. Actually, we are very highly privileged in Christ Jesus.

Our Lord loves fairness, equality, correct measures , honesty, integrity, truthfulness, and rightness . He wants us to be like Him. He is ready to direct our work in Truth. Where we have been wronged, He shall make right for us and compensate our sufferings. He shall grant us Everlasting joy through His everlasting covenant. Jesus Christ is decked with  ornaments and jewels to help and add beauty into our lives. Hey, He really Wants to beautify us. Great indeed. Surely, His name is wonderful.

Our God is Adonai- Jehovah. Hence He shall evoke great praises into our lives. Eventually,“everything that has breath will Praise the Lord” psalm 150:6 . Finally, dear friend,”. The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure , making wise the simple.” [Psalm 19:7]
