A CRY OF THE SPIRIT

PSALM 141: 1-10

Psalm 141:1–10 (NIV): 1 I call to you, LORD, come quickly to me;

         hear me when I call to you.

      2 May my prayer be set before you like incense;

         may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

      3 Set a guard over my mouth, LORD;

         keep watch over the door of my lips.

      4 Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil

         so that I take part in wicked deeds

         along with those who are evildoers;

         do not let me eat their delicacies.

5 Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness;

         let him rebuke me—that is oil on my head.

         My head will not refuse it,

         for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

      6 Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs,

         and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.

      7 They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth,

         so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.”

      8 But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign LORD;

         in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death.

      9 Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers,

         from the snares they have laid for me.

      10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets,

         while I pass by in safety.

The Holy Bible text displayed above is an open prayer made by David. In this prayer, we can hear The cry of the Spirit in verse number one. The voice of The Messiah, Jesus Christ; is heard in here. He sought help from God on daily basis. The bible states that God heard the prayers of Jesus Christ because of His obedience.

Now check the second verse. The incense had to do with The Golden Altar; offered at least twice a day. The evening sacrifice always took place at 3.00 p.m. [ 1500 hours G.M.T]; the exact time that Jesus Christ died on the cross. In the third verse , the Psalmist is asking for a clean mouth; clean lips. Only Jesus Christ attained this high level. His lips were always holy, edifying and blessing people. He is the Same today and shall remain so forever. A good Teacher. A Saviour. A Healer . A Deliverer, A Provider. He is All in All.

SEEK A PERFECT HEART:

Wow.Check the fourth verse. Great indeed. Jesus Christ separated Himself from any evil acts. Those in whom He dwells also separate themselves from wicked practices , iniquity and presumptuous sins. We have two categories of sin. The sin of commission and the sin of omission. Commission is doing what one knows that the act is wrong and needs not be committed. Omission is knowing what is right to be done ; but one avoids doing it. Such is the weight of the matter of sin. Kindly, allow Jesus Christ to help you. He overcame sin; why?He had a perfect heart.The Heart of Obedience. The fifth verse is about The Righteous [God in Heaven] does not allow us to smite each other. Vegeance belongs to Him. Only God can administer correct punishment. In verse six; People may make wrong decisions; but Jesus Christ will always bear a True Testimony. He is always sure and Perfect in understanding.

  TRUSTING IN GOD ALONE:

The Messiah and His followers are not esteemed by many people who may not understand The Mind of God. This calls for a clear understanding of who God is; together with unwavering Trust in His Word. God always stands with His W#ord to have it perform what He has send it to perform. The Word of God does not come in vain. Jesus Christ will keep us from temptations, snares and sin. Wickedness shall fall as Righteousness wins. Forever. Amen
