A good problem

John 9:1-7

John 9:1–7 (ESV): 9 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

Hi! Dear child of the mighty God of the universe, welcome to the Stable Sanctuary. Today, we are looking at a good problem as outlined in the Holy Bible. In the text above, Christ met a man born blind from his birth. Here is a picture of the human race born spiritually blind. The disciples of Christ pose a question, which Jesus indicates that the issue at hand is a good problem: that the works of God should be made known in Him. Here is now the duty of Jesus Christ and He opts for the opportunity to showcase the will of God, who sent Him.

Pre-destined for the glory of God

In verse 5, Christ speaks of His ministry: I am the light of the world. Here, Christ speaks of doing for the moral world what the sun does for the physical world. This shows that heaven cares for humanity in a greater way. Hence the problem of the man born blind from birth is hereby meant to glorify God. Your life, therefore has been programmed in such a way so as to bring glory and honor to God. That is why we give thanks to God for He is good; His loving kindness is everlasting.

Jesus Christ- The light of the world

Each and every problem that people experience is simply a good problem in God’s presence. This is because one has to develop a positive attitude towards one’s life and circumstances. God has provided sufficient grace to enable one live a successful life despite prevailing circumstances. The bible states clearly that Christ is the lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the world. This means that He was pre-destined to save the world from sin, sickness, ailments, death and all the plans of the enemy. Jesus Christ is the light of the  worId.

The anointing

In verse 6, we see a great turn around. Jesus Christ spat on the ground and made clay of the spittle. Oh! This shows Christ in a body of lowly clay; steered by divine breath; to symbolize His human nature and the moisture of His lips to symbolize the life in Him. The human body of Jesus is now serving a perfect sacrifice to take away sin.

Jesus Christ anointed the eyes of the blind man using the clay He had made and asked the man to go wash in the pool of Siloam. The blind man went, washed and came back seeing. This shows that only when we wash our life in the blood of Jesus Christ, then we can be able to see spiritually.

#May the Holy Spirit of the Living God help open your eyes to enable you see life spiritually.

#Jesus Christ is for you. Amen.
