A SURE TOUR GUIDE
LUKE 8:22-25
Luke 8:22–25 (ESV): 22 One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set out, 23 and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. 24 And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?” And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”
Hi, Dear Child of The Mighty God in The Highest Heaven. Welcome to The Stable Sanctuary. The scripture stated above is an experience recorded in The Holy Bible. Jesus Christ asked his disciples to accompany Him in a ship for a tour from the western side of Lake Galilee to the eastern shore. While the ship sailed, Jesus Christ fell asleep; mainly due to His busy schedule. He may have felt exhausted because of teaching, healing and deliverance services he usually carried out. Yes, we also have to carry out the works of ministry tirelessly just like Jesus Christ did.
A SUDDEN STORM
As the ship sailed, there came a furious Storm; a kind of hurricane as experienced in some countries. The ship got filled with water. Great danger was looming. All the disciples were terrified and in despair. Good enough, they called on Jesus Christ; ” Master, Master; we perish.” Jesus Christ arose and rebuked the wind and the raging water. Calm was restored. Life has many storms and tempests. What do we do during such times?
CALL ON JESUS CHRIST
The situation at Sea was dangerous. Anything could have happened and they could have perished. We thank God that Jesus Christ was present. When such circumstances arise in our social, economic, political and psychological situations , all we need to do is call on Jesus Christ. He is ever present and ready to provide us with necessary assistance. God never fails to respond to our situations.
PEACE , CALMNESS AND TRANGUILITY
When the storm and raging water ceased, The disciples wondered , ” What manner of man is this! ” They did not understand the implications of The Ministry and Office of Jesus Christ. At this point, they did not comprehend the fact that Jesus Christ has Power over nature. The same Jesus Christ is in You and also in me; but we may not understand His great power deposited in us. He is saying to us, ” Where is your faith?” In this life, to attain peace, calmness and tranquility, You and I need The presence of Jesus Christ.
