AN EXCEEDING INSIGHT

Matthew 13:54-58

54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. 55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57 And they took offense at him.

But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”

58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

Hi! Dear child of the Mighty God of the Universe. Welcome to the Stable Sanctuary. The above quoted scripture from the Holy Bible is set in the year AD 31. Jesus Christ had just begun His public ministry at  the age of 30 years . He had been teaching multitudes of people by the seaside of Galilee. Here, He had expounded The Word of God using ten parables. In verse 54, He has now come to His own home town, Nazareth, where he taught in their synagogue(Luke 4:16-30).

The Great God of the Universe expects you and I to take bold steps to propagate His word. He leads, we follow Him. Jesus Christ has exceeding insight and wisdom. In Him, we succeed beyond expectation.

DOUBTFUL AUDIENCE

A keen observation of verses 55 and 56 reveal the fact that the people of Nazareth did not believe in Christ. He was their own kin. This was a great challenge to Jesus Christ. You and I are more likely to undergo similar challenges. We need not to lose hope. We shall overcome. In fact, every challenge has good lessons hidden behind it. All we need is to develop a resilient spirit that keeps moving forward. This is because God is Love; and Love never fails.

 DOUBT YOUR DOUBTS

God wants us to succeed in the assignment that He has called us. Believe in Him who has called you; doubt your doubts whenever challenges show up. Check Isaiah 60:1-5, such is the wonderful news we have from the Throne of Grace in Heaven. This shows that our God is so lovely, so caring. He has aligned good things to locate and access us. We are meant to be saved and lifted up socially, economically and spiritually.

VARIETY OF CHALLENGES

Yes, a variety of challenges may arise. Yet they come and are soon no more. They vanish. Joseph was put in prison only to come out as a Prime Minister in Egypt. Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego were thrown into an exceeding hot furnace only to be delivered by God and promoted to become governors in Babylon; Daniel 3:1-30.

David as a young man had so many challenges that threatened his life. He rose to become king in Israel.

Esther was a total orphan. Later on, she became a queen. These are just few examples amidst many.

CONCLUSION

Come to Jesus Christ. Do not waste your great chances and opportunities. So much more is waiting for you. Insight and wisdom are all yours for success to follow you. Every challenge has good lessons behind it. Great men  and women of God were nurtured by heavy-duty challenges. They succeeded tremendously. Jesus Christ had a myriad of challenges; including death on the cross. Forever, Christ Jesus is The Lord of Lords, The King of Kings. Stay well informed; full of insight. Glory be God.
