REWARDS FOR CONSECRATION
MATTHEW 19 : 27,28
Matthew 19:27–28 (NKJV): 27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?”
28 So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Hi , welcome to The Stable Sanctuary.
In Matthew 19:27-28, we find the disciples grappling with the implications of Jesus’ teachings. Peter asks, “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus responds with a promise of renewal and rewards for consecration. This extends beyond earthly understanding. This passage encourages us to reflect on the sacrifices we make in our spiritual journeys. A life of abundance awaits us.
THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP
Following Jesus is not without its challenges. The disciples left their homes, families and livelihoods. They have embraced a life of service and faith. Their question resonates with many of us today: What do we gain from our commitment to this path? Jesus acknowledges their sacrifices. It reminds us that true discipleship often requires us to let go of the familiar. We are invited to step into the unknown, trusting that our faith will lead us to greater purpose.
THE ETERNAL PROMISE
In His response, Jesus assures the disciples that their sacrifices will not go unnoticed. “In the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones.” This promise of restoration speaks to the transformative power of faith. It reminds us that our efforts to live a life aligned with God’s will are rewarded. It’s not just in the here and now, but in the eternal realm as well.
DIVINE ASSIGNMENT
Jesus Christ goes ahead to assure the disciples The Divine Assignment that has been prepared for them. In the same manner, we are assured of Great Things [1st Corinthians 2:9,10]. Hence we have Hope in God’s Promises. May we be exuberantly encouraged. All shall be well with us …..
CONCLUSION
As we reflect on Matthew 19:27-28, let us embrace the journey of discipleship with open hearts. The sacrifices we make today pave the way for A Bright Future. The Way Ahead is filled with Hope and Promise. Together, may we encourage one another to remain steadfast in our faith. Every step we take in service to others is a step in the right direction. There is A Life of Abundance that awaits Us in God’s kingdom. Yes; in this life and in eternity as well. Stay Safe; You Have A Brand New Beginning In Christ Jesus.
