KEEP GOD’S WORD IN YOU
MATTHEW 19:16-26
Matthew 19:16–26 (ESV): 16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” 17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” 18 He said to him, “Which ones?” And Jesus said, “You shall not murder, You shall not commit adultery, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness,
19 Honor your father and mother, and, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 20 The young man said to him, “All these I have kept. What do I still lack?” 21 Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 22 When the young man heard this he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Hi, Dear child of The Mighty God in the Highest Heaven. Welcome once more to The Stable Sanctuary a site that values you more and more just the way God in Heaven Loves you so dearly. Today, we desire The Holy spirit of The Living God to help download unto us the knowledge based on the story of Jesus Christ concerning a rich young busy entrepreneur. By the way, entrepreneurship is currently the most lucrative venture one can get engaged in today. Yet in the course of busy schedules, one can easily forget to work out one’s destiny, the way God intended it to be .KINDLY follow us.
The scripture from The Holy Bible stated above is about a rich young mogul. This man was extremely rich and powerful; a Ruler who was a magnate. He was a tycoon and captain of industry as well. We may say he was a silicon valley technorat. Just imagine. He was a man of very high calibre; yet preciously young. Perhaps, you are almost like this man or you desire to become one as such. May Jesus Christ steer your way to attain that level.
In verse 16, he addressed Jesus Christ as ” Good master….” ; Merely as a teacher. He did not recognize that Jesus Christ is Lord and God . The rich young mogul desires eternal life and Jesus Christ guides him on the way: to keep the commandments. [ Now check verse 29] Here Jesus Christ gives him a summary of the commandments that deals with fellow man: love oneself and one’s neighbour. Yes, something was wrong in the man’s life. A lack of love for one’s neighbour.
DESIRE TO BE PERFECT:
In verse 21, Jesus Christ shows him how to share his wealth with the poor upon which the young man went away sorrowful: he had great wealth. This was quite ironic. God gives us all things to enjoy. Sharing does not reduce what we have ; instead with God’s blessing, sharing multiplies our resources. In verse 23 and 24, Jesus Christ explains the folly and futility of trusting in much wealth. KINDLY, put God first and all shall be well. You shall attain perfection if you follow the principles outlined in God’s word.
ESTEEM GOD’S APPROVAL:
In verse 25, the disciples of Jesus Christ are quite amazed; exceedingly. They asked Jesus Christ; ” Who then can be saved? And in verse 26, Jesus Christ looked at them and politely told them, ” with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. This is God’s real approval.
GOD HAS NO IMPOSSIBILITIES
Hey, down memory lane in History basing on The word of God we find that God has done great things. There is no place in the Bible where one may find something that God was unable to do or perform. None. Not even one. The Great cities and great inventions on earth today are all the works of God done by the hands of men. God is The Greatest architectural engineer ever known. Even Technology belongs to God. He made the first two tablets of stone upon which He wrote The Ten Commandments and handed them over to Moses; His polite and meek servant. [ Deuteronomy 10:1-5]
