GIRD YOUR LOINS
LUKE 12:35-40
Luke 12:35–40 (NKJV): 35 “Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; 36 and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them.
38 And if he should come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. 39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 40 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

One soul that accepts Jesus Christ as one’s saviour ignites exuberant celebration by Angels in heaven. Believers in Christ Jesus worldwide have a duty cum responsibility to help change the world by living an attractive life for the Glory of God. Always be attractive to others. This is infact the area where many people are bound to receive great rewards in this life and also in the life to come. It is God’s nature that you receive multiple blessings.
OUR PREPAREDNESS
As a child of God, one’s conduct and character reveals one’s destiny. Being destined for better things calls for High levels of integrity and a constant consciousness that there is A Higher Being that keeps watch over one’s life and actions. Verse 38 to 40 provide a clear roadmap where Jesus Christ is revealing to us the nature and urgency of being well prepared for His second coming. You and I are ” the Goodman of the house….” Verse 39.
The Goodman represents the Soul. While the house represents the body. The Enemy may seek to destroy both the soul and the body . Jesus Christ has a high desire to save us from destruction. God forbid that the enemy may have his way . Let God’s will be accomplished as evidenced on the cross at Calvary; where Jesus Christ declares ” It is finished…” John 19:30 . Our salvation is fully assured; albeit at great price.
