A TERRIFIC BATTLE FRONT

1st SAMUEL 17:45-51

1 Samuel 17:45–51 (ESV): 45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

48 When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine. 49 And David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone and slung it and struck the Philistine on his forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the ground.
50 So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. There was no sword in the hand of David. 51 Then David ran and stood over the Philistine and took his sword and drew it out of its sheath and killed him and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw that their champion was dead, they fled.

Hi, Dear Child of The Mighty God of The Universe. Welcome to The Stable Sanctuary. We want to learn about an exciting experience set in The Holy Bible scripture as stated above. It is the Story of David versus Goliath. The Philistine army led by Goliath gathered on a mountain in Judah to fight the children of Israel under King Saul. Goliath, the Giant presented himself; asking for a man in Israel who could fight and defeat him. This went on for a couple of weeks, as the army of Israel could not produce a man that could challenge Goliath.

FORTY DAYS TAUNT:

[ check 1st Samuel 17:8-10,16] Forty days stands for probation in the Bible. After which , God’s designed method now steps in. Here, God wanted to show that Israel cannot help herself without God’s intervention. Life has many issues to be tackled. We need to depend on God always.

THE PRINCIPLE OF FAITH

By Divine intervention, David, the last born son of Jesse, the Beth-lemite comes on the scene. The entire game starts to change. By this time, David was about 17 years [ Two years after being annointed by prophet Samuel[ 1st Samuel 16:12,13] The Almighty God always prepares a person in advance before He makes use of him or her. Stay prepared to be used to accomplish Divine purposes of God.

David speaks faith that assures victory in advance. He is so sure of himself [ 1st Samuel 17: 32-37.] The Holy Bible states clearly that; This is the victory that overcomes the world; even our faith. Always speak words of faith. You shall overcome obstacles. Faith always wins.

ONSLAUGHT AND VICTORY:

A glimpse at 1st Samuel 17:45-51 gives us a picture of what happened finally. David responds to the Giant’s taunt by word of faith in the God of Israel. He had no pressumption but had The word of God. He was Sure. With Jesus Christ in Your life, be sure that all is well despite the most heavy challenges that you face. God shall always make a way; for His way is perfectly sure. In Verse 49, the stone hits Goliath’s face and he falls on his face. This is a wonder. God’s power is so great and marvellous. We may not understand or comprehend how God works.  Never take annointed servants of God lightly. They carry God wherever they go. Through young David, God fought for Israel and delivered great victory. To win battles, God does not need heavy artillary.

# Jesus Christ knows your challenges.

# God shall take care of your challenges. He will fight for you.

# Victory is on your side. Amen.
