MATTHEW 25:1-13
Matthew 25:1–13 (ESV): 25 “Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. 5 As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. 6 But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ 7 Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. 11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ 12 But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
PERFECTION
Hi! Dear child of the Mighty God of the Universe. Welcome to the Stable Sanctuary. The Holy Bible scripture outlined above is an episode concerning Ten virgin girls. The number 10 speaks about perfection. Hence, these 10 ladies were perfect in word and in deeds. They were all good christian ladies. Perhaps we may call them young smart ladies serving God. The bible is clear that 5 of them were wise while the other 5 were foolish, an indication of Modern Christianity.
The foolish virgins had lamps without oil. The wise virgins had lamps with oil. That is the difference. The lamps stand for The Light of Jesus Christ. This Light is with all believes regardless of status. The oil brings forth the greatest difference. The oil is a symbol of The Holy Spirit of the Living God. As Christians, we cannot do without the presence of the oil of The Holy Spirit. The presence of The Holy Spirit makes us perfect in Christian work of ministry. Perfection is attained by slow degrees, it requires the hand of time.
THE FLOW OF THE SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit has to flow in our lives constantly. Our hearts have to experience a joyful and exhuberant flow of the Holy spirit daily. He is The Teacher, The Counsellor, The Guide and The One who gives us strength for endurance. There is need for us to maintain our faith in Christ [Romans 8:14-15]. Let us allow The Holy Spirit to direct our life and actions , that we may not slumber and sleep in the course of our christian obligations.
THE RAPTURE
The rapture of the church can take place at a time not expected. How are you standing in Christ? Is there oil in your lamp? Be wise. Allow Christ to help you access the much needed oil of The Holy Spirit. God is not unrighteous to forget your good work. He is for you to be among the number to be included in the rapture. You need spiritual energy from Christ.
