THE TRANSFIGURATION OF JESUS CHRIST:
LUKE 9:28-37
The Transfiguration
28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. 30 Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. 31 They spoke about his departure,[a] which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. 32 Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. 33 As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, “Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.)
34 While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” 36 When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone. The disciples kept this to themselves and did not tell anyone at that time what they had seen.

37 The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.
A PECULIAR EXPERIENCE
LUKE 9:28-37
Hi, Dear child of The Mighty God of the universe. You are precious and valuable in the sight of God.Welcome to The Stable Sanctuary; a spiritual House of God meant for your growth and development. Today, we want to learn more about a very unique experience recorded in The Holy Bible. The Holy scriptures displayed above illustrates the time our Lord Jesus Christ took three of His disciples namely: Peter, John and James upon a mountain to pray. As Jesus Christ prayed, His appearance changed drastically. The glory of God came upon Him and He began to glow wonderfully. A lot of radiance came from within Him. Wonderful. His clothes were white and glittering. Yes. The glory from within Him made His man-made garments into absolute Indescribable beauty. Within no time, two great men of God were taking to Jesus Christ. These were Moses and Elijah!
Moses had been dead for almost 1500 years. Elijah, who had not tasted death but translated into glory by a chariot of fire where he was carried upwards into heaven by a Mighty whirlwind [2nd Kings 2:11] , had been in heaven for about 900 years. Great indeed. Here, Moses and Elijah appeared in glory; the glory that came from God in Heaven; while the glory of Christ came from within Him because He is God, the Son. At this point, their conversation was about what Jesus Christ was going to accomplish at Jerusalem on the cross. This teaches us clearly that our day to day conversation needs to be about the work of our salvation, deliverance and redemption which Jesus Christ accomplished for us all on the cross of Calvary.
The three disciples; Peter, John and James were heavily asleep and when they awoke, they saw the scenerio. This shows that a child of God May die [ go to sleep] in Jesus Christ and be awaken in Heaven in His presence. Peter’s proclamation places Moses and Elijah at the same level with Jesus Christ and immediately a Divine Cloud of God’s presence overshadows them. From the cloud, a voice is heard saying,” This is My beloved son: hear Him.”
